How long does it take to finish a project?

How long does it take to finish a project?

It depends on the length and complexity of the video, we’re used to working with tight deadlines and most projects take between 2 and 3 weeks. We’ve done many quick turn-around presentations. We burn the midnight oil for our customers.

Some practice the art of illusion

Too often in our industry of video production, the arts or just about any other industry the company providing the service takes their time in delivering to give the idea that they spent a lot of time on the project when really they knocked it out that same week. The illusion is the longer it takes to complete coincides with how much more it cost. Many people who are not familiar with the industry they’re purchasing a product or service from may not be aware of this. For most people it’s a lesson learned after the fact.

Just the facts please

The way to get around this is to ask questions of the video company or whatever  product or service you’re looking to acquire. The questions are very simple.
* How long will it take for the recording to begin?
* For a video of the complexity you’re working on for us how long will it take for us to see an edit master?
* Considering the amount of revisions we are being offered how long do we have to complete those rounds of revision and have  a completed video?
By asking just these few short questions and listening to their response you not only should have a firm idea of how long the process will take but quite frankly if you trust their answers.

The video production process can be arduous at first glance or even difficult to keep the process going when working with others, kinda like herding cats. When you have the help of those who are experienced  they can guide you through the forest and get you out in the clearing. Whether you hire us or somebody else, make sure you have a company that has the willingness to hold your hand throughout the process.
